Mia and the Duck Cap

I love this cap. It was actually cousin Andrew's first, then it was Paiges, and now Mia kind of fits into it.

Paige picks her own outfit...

This is Paiges first attempt to dress herself. At least she was actually getting ready to go swimming, so she got the swimsuit right.

Tamara's wedding

Tamara Prina got married to Brian Hills on Friday. I was truly honored to be a part of her wedding but demoted myself to photographer for the reception as I felt I would serve them better if I was not in a dress. Anyway, it was very nice, and I was so happy for Tamara! So was Paige, although I think she was more excited to see Brian all dressed up. I asked her if she thought Tam looked pretty in her dress, she said "ya, but mommy, is Brian a prince?' and then she wanted to take a picture with him but unfortunately he could not be torn away from his guests so she settled for a picture with the princess.

Her favorite part by far w
as the cake, however, and I have a picture to prove it. Mia couldn't have cared less. About any of it. But at least she got to wear her Easter dress again.

The Fox and the Hound

I saw the Fox and the Hound at the drive-in when I was four. It was the first movie I ever saw at a drive-in, (followed a few years later by Savanah Smiles as my first movie in the movie theater) and I remember loving it. So imagine my delight that it was the "movie time monday" movie on Disney Channel today. I recorded it and let Paige watch it while I got in the shower and did some house work. About half way through I hear these blood curdling cries from downstairs, you know the kind that make you go running, so I did, and there sat Paige sobbing on the couch. It took me about twenty minutes of coaxing to get her to calm down and talk about what was bothering her, and when she finally did talk she said "wh-why (sniff) did that wady (sniff) leave the fox in the woods?" And then it hit me. The Fox and the Hound was the saddest movie ever. And I let my extremely sensitive three year old watch it all by herself. Needless to say, it is erased from our DVR.

Mia Claire

Mia is trying so hard to roll over. I don't really want her to, is that bad? I just remember how excited I was for Paige to learn how to roll over and then how shocked I was at how hard mothering became after that because she could move and was in to everything. But still, it is pretty cute to see her reaching, reaching, reaching to get all the way over. I used her as a little guinea pig this morning trying to get the lighting and white balance right using my white backdrop. The pictures turned out ok once they were majorly altered in photoshop.

Trip to Vacaville

We went to vacaville on a spur of the moment trip a week or so ago. Even though it rained the whole time we still had a blast hanging out with the boys and Kacey and Eddie. Oh and I finally got to meet Christina after a very long time of feeling left out, being the only one of 8 siblings that hadn't met her, including Brett, who had been in Brazil for the majority of the time they have been dating. Not that I am bitter or anything. Anyway, we spent a good portion of our time there watching Donald Duck cartoons on youtube, for anyone interested you should look up these particular cartoons. Drip Dippy Donald, Autograph Hound, and New Neighbor. If you were lucky enough to own the VHS Donalds Classics Collection like we were, you will be laughing your butts off as you watch. If you were not so lucky, then maybe you should bypass watching, they won't be that funny to you.

Ok, seriously, have you ever seen a prettier version of Mike? I haven't.

Paige and Daddy

Paige was hanging out with dad the other day while I was making dinner. I heard her say to him "so Daddy, do we need to talk about the little meeting you had yesterday?" I looked over and this is how they were sitting whilst discussing the meeting. We can only assume she meant the "scubscout" blue and gold dinner from the night before.
